| A visitor helps her kids into the cab of Rio Grande Southern #74 (2-8-0), which was built by the Brooks Locomotive Works of Dunkirk, NY in 1898 for the Colorado & North Western Railroad. It was later sold to the Colorado and Southern Railroad and operated mixed train service until it was retired in 1953. When it was originally donated to the Colorado Railroad Museum it was restored as #30 which it wore while with the Colorado & North Western RR. In 2022 it was renumbered as Rio Grande Southern #74. |
