The non-self-propelled snow blower Xrot mt # 95404 was delivered by the company Zaugg in Eggiwil in 2011. With its two 450 kW diesel engines, it can blow away up to 8500 tons of snow per hour, up to 6 meters wide in two passes. The Rhaetian Railway has two of these machines for the Bernina line, as well as two similar, slightly less powerful machines for the main network. The two snow blowers, which are stationed in Pontresina and Poschiavo respectively, are either pushed by one of the 4 "Schalke" diesel locomotives Gmf 234 or by a Gem 4/4 # 801/802.
