Remarks & Notes
A Burlington Northern coal empty departs Guernsey, Wyoming, and crosses a bridge spanning the North Platte River leaving town on July 6, 1996. A pair of GE C30-7s mixed with an EMD SD60M and Oakway SD60 provide power for the train headed to Powder River Basin for loading. Technically, this is a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train, but BN and AT&SF operating departments didn’t formally merge until December 31, 1996.
