Amtrak 352 and mates endure late winter weather at the famous Zephyr Pit south of Union Station. The 3 E8s are former Burlington/BN units, with conventional steam generators for handling Amtrak's passenger trains of the era, typically working trains on BN or MILW out of Union Station.
