Just after midnight on October 30th, 2023, Metro-North Railroad Electric Traction employees are hard at work in the rain repairing damaged catenary wire just east of Union Station at CP 273 on the New Haven Line in New Haven, Connecticut. CP 273's interlocking structure dwarfs the Plasser Catenary Maintenance Vehicle (MNCW CV1004), a vital asset within the Electric Traction Department's arsenal.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
