| A Long Commute: A GO Transit F59PH locomotive brings the once daily (M-F) London to Toronto commuter through New Hamburg, ON. This was an experimental service provided by GO and at 4 hours of trip time, it is the longest single seat commuter train ride in North America. In October of 2023, these trains will cease operation following a several year long trial period. GO used its remaining F59 fleet on these trains due to weight limits on one of the bridges on the route. Passenger service will still be provided on a once a day basis by Via Rail's Toronto to Sarnia train. |
