Steamy in Arkansas The morning Arkansas & Missouri job serving Van Buren run back south across the Arkansas River lift bridge towards the yard at Fort Smith. Thick foliage make this look somewhat like a Rain Forest.... The location of the lift bridge is also where there wasa intense Civil War artillery exchange between Union and Confederate Forces during Dencember of 1862. Note the front door is open adding some relief for the crew on this relentless steamy hot day!
