Train Set 4. Amtrak Train 899/CSX P934 was a special delivery on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, with ALSTOM Amtrak Acela II Train Set 4 (AMTK 2105 trailing) being towed by a pair of P42s (AMTK 109/104) and AMTK 10020 (Pacific Bend) as a crew car. This was the first Amtrak Alstom Acela II trainset of the 28 set order to take this route, which was different from previous deliveries, using Norfolk Southern trackage to go geographically northwest to Buffalo, then covering normal Amtrak Empire Service and Northeast Corridor routing via Albany, New York and New York Penn Station to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The train is seen passing the iconic Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York. This former New York Central station saw its last passengers in 1979 and recently sustained a fire causing significant damage to its platform shelters, but last year received a significant pledge of investment towards revitalization from the State Of New York.
