Albany. On the March 28, 2022, Amtrak Train 11 (Coast Starlight) stopped at Albany, Oregon with Webb Rail's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome 313 (WEBX 801044), former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045), and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) holding the markers. In 1848, Walter and Thomas Monteith bought a claim of 320 acres and named the city "Albany" after their hometown of Albany in New York. As the Albany-Rensselaer, New York yard is our home base, this was an ironic photo to take just about 3,000 miles away. The 1909 Southern Pacific Railroad depot was rebuilt and rededicated by Amtrak in 2006. More on the Webb Rail fleet at www.webbrail.com
