The Flint Creek Power Plant is a base load 528 MW coal-fired power plant built in 1978. It is owned 50% split between SWEPCO/AEP and Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp. The KCS supplies coal to the plant via the Heavener Sub and the UP looks like they have the contract currently. The plant is located mile west of Gentry, AR. The plan is to conduct analyses of an assumed retirement of this plant by 2030. Here the inbound crew is done with the 1st 20 cars, now they put the train back together, take off the KCS DP power, and give the train to the plant to unload.
