| DMIR 181 is one of 16 SD18s delivered to DM&IR in April 1960. These locomotives spelled the end of mainline steam on the railroad. EMD's SD series are among rail enthusiasts' favorite locomotives, and this side view emphasizes the unique cab & short hood mounting that was applied to Phase IV SD9s, SD18s and SD24s. |
