Java Snowsheds Glacier National Park
A colorful eastbound marine stack climbs the 1.8% grade at Java, Montana. A dry cold front made a crisp clear morning despite area wildfires. Tom Danneman's photos from this location years earlier, always made this a spot I wanted to check out. This particular location is well known for large Grizzliy Bears...So hiking the mountainside full of fresh berries makes you quite alert!
