When I got into my rent-a-car and starting driving from downtown Cleveland to Collinwood Yard, it had been five and a half years since my previous visit. At that time the deadline was 90% Alco Centuries. I suspected the huge amount of F7s that habittated Collinwood back then had likely since joined. Still, I knew too much time had passed for me to likely see either... but in my heart of hearts, I hoped... I pulled into Collinwood and saw this string of EMD road-switcher body units. The inclusion of GP35s and an SDP45 wreck rebuilt with an SD45-2 long hood were surprising. Memory gets a little fuzzy, but I think I took this picture from the car (and another). Some curious railroad employees starting towards me and rather than say hello and ask if I could keep shooting, I turned the car around and left. Had I a chance to do it again, I would have tried to make nice and get some more angles. Still, a fascinating moment in time. My notes say for the power in the forefront of this image say - #7020 GP9, #6688 SDP45 (in SD45-2 body), #5999 GP7, #2341 GP35, #3688 GP35.
