Remarks & Notes
In 1992-93, Amtrak tested the Swedish-built X2000. The train was designed and built by Kalmar Verkstad (later merged with Asea Brown Boveri, Inc.) for the Swedish State Railways (SJ), and leased to Amtrak, who tested the train and then used it in revenue service for a few months in early 1993. From May to July 1993, the train was taken on a national tour and displayed around the Amtrak system.

The high-speed train is being displayed to the public with tours of the interior at the downtown Amtrak Station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 26, 1993. Interestingly, the controls and engineer sits on the left side of the cab. Outside the window is an Amtrak Hiawatha Service (Milwaukee to Chicago) train powered by EMD F40PH No. 293 laying over on another station track.
