Long Hood Forward on The Lackawanna. A mechanical problem with the cab car on Train 808 on the morning of Thursday, December 8, 2022 led to the unusual arrangement of NJ Transit GP40PH-2 4109 (CNJ Tribute) running long hood forward into Hoboken Terminal. This was a common practice when the class of 13 GP40P engines was delivered by EMD to the CNJ in 1968, as not all of their trains had cab cars. The train is seen crossing the Passaic River in Newark, New Jersey on the former route of the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railway.
