Generations.
On Saturday October 1, 2022, the Chicago Transit Authority hosted a special event in celebration of its 75th anniversary. Three historic trains and three historic buses were brought down to the Loop for rides in celebration of the milestone.
Here we see 6000-Series car no. 6711 (St. Louis Car Co., 1950-1959) and 2400-Series car no. 2490 (Boeing-Vertol, 1976-1978) at Harold Washington Library-State/Van Buren station making stops to pick up awaiting celebrants!
