| The self-propelled snow blower Xrotm 491 # 111 of SBB Infrastruktur is rotated around its own axis with the help of 4 hydraulically driven lifting spindles. The occasion is the open day at the SBB industrial plant in Biel to celebrate 175 years of Swiss Railways. The vehicle was converted in 2019/2020 in Biel from the rail tractor Tm III # 9556 built in 1976, modernized in 2005 to Tm 232 # 047, by the Biel industrial plant and the Zaugg company. The six new Xrotm snow blowers 491 # 110 to # 115 with 260 kW and a maximum speed of 80 km/h replace the Xrotm 491 # 102 to # 109 from 1972. |
