A lone Dash 9-44CW, BNSF Railway 714, pulls train H-LAUKCK4-10 (High Priority Merchandise, Laurel MT to Kansas City KS) through the S-curve in Kansas City’s West Bottoms area. BNSF 714, built by General Electric in July 1997, still wears the attractive "Superfleet" scheme, a variation of the classic "Warbonnet" scheme. This train will soon pass through the old Kansas City Stockyards, and then the maze of turnouts in Santa Fe Junction as it makes it was to Argentine Yard across the state line.
