SD45 in 2022 'Kinda' Sitting in the ex Frisco yard in Oklahoma City is SD40m-2 NREX2761. Originally built as a 20 cylinder SD45 for the Southern in 1967, the unit was re-built as a SD40m-2 by Morrison Knudsen in 1994 for coal service on the Southern Pacific.The unit is leased to Watco which operates a large regional rail network serving Eastern Colorado, Oklahoma & Kansas.
