In the fall of 1994 it was not uncommon to find pre-merger colors roaming the system, but it was still exciting. Regardless, catching a Chessie GP30 on the point of a manifest leaving Cumberland to assault the grade at Sand Patch made for a great day. I only wish I hadnt been shooting print film at the time but I finally scanned in the pacing shot from Mt Savage rd.
