Remarks & Notes
JLCX GP20 2002 was built by EMD in January 1962 as St. Louis Southwestern (Cotton Belt) GP20 816, and when parent company Southern Pacific renumbered their fleet in 1965 it became SSW 4046. When upgraded by SP to a GP20R in June 1979 it became SSW 4135. Retired by the SP on July 15, 1994, the locomotive was sold to locomotive dealer OmniTRAX (OMLX) of Loveland CO on October 25, 1995. OMLX then leased it to their Hudson Bay Railway (HBRY 2505), Central Kansas Railway (CKRY 2505), Fulton County Railway (FCR 2002) and Alabama & Tennessee River Railway (ATN 2002), and then sold to another locomotive dealer, J&L Consulting Ltd. (as JLCX 2002), which stored it the Gadsden Industrial Park in Gadsden, Alabama, where it was photographed on October 1, 2015, Photographed on private property with permission and full PPE.
