Takin' It to the Streets....one last time in daylight. The iconic Michigan City, Indiana street running along the Chicago South Shore & South Bend is coming to a close. On a beautiful Sunday morning, the last freight train to street run in daylight makes its way down the middle of 11th Street, crossing Manhattan Street just outside of St. Mary's Church. 4 GP38-2's have the 21-car freight well in hand. After a few more passenger train movements tomorrow morning, construction will begin to eliminate the street running.
