It's March of 1996 and big changes are to come along the former C&NW mainline in western Iowa. C&NW had single-tracked the railroad west of Dennison, IA and it had become quite a bottleneck that UP set to address with restoration of a second main. Here a manifest rolls through MoVal headed for Fremont and North Platte. Still extant were the searchlight signals, yard limit board and codelines that were once commonplace. There were even a pair of wig wag crossing signals farther east that remained until about this time.
