Heading from Anaheim to Santa Ana is Union Pacific local LOA32, heading south on Southern California Regional Rail Authority’s (Metrolink) Orange Sub, which it hopped on in Anaheim and will diverge off of in Santa Ana in order to head to an industrial complex in the southern part of that city. UP GP60 1083 and GP40P-2 1375 have a whopping 17 cars in tow, quite a bit for this train which averages 7 to 9 cars. The train is passing through repurposed packing houses and other industrial buildings that are now classrooms and offices for Chapman University – which has a great film school, but a lousy public policy program.
