CNW 8023 with Conrail 6212 leads an American President Lines double-stacker out of the crew change point of Fremont, NE. It was one week later that C&NW was merged into UP, although C&NW run-through power was commonplace with many units of both UP and CNW equipped with cab signal and automatic train control apparatus for both roads.
