In the heat of an August afternoon, BNSF 6850 leads an eastbound manifest into the siding at Dorchester, NE - about 25 miles west of Lincoln on the former CB&Q Denver mainline. This time of year the black-eyed susans and thistle thrive by the roadside in profusion, and clouds lazily drift above the flatlands.
