Donner Pass Shed 10
Snowshed s once lined almost the entire distance from Yuba Gap to Donner Summit. This intensive use of sheds led to severe smoke problems, and as snow fighting technology improved the sheds slowly disappeared leaving only the strategic and worst areas still sheltered by the sheds. A morning intermodal train exits shed 10 on its ascent to Donner Summit.
