| Doing some more significant cleanup around my parents house led to the discovery of a thought to be misplaced disk from my first digital camera. I had done this trip with my father trying to stake out dwindling grain elevators in southern Alberta and after taking a detour to Shelby lucked out by picking up this northbound headed for interchange with CP at Sweet Grass/Coutts. Needless to say this brought back some great memories at a perfect evening location we didn’t expect to cover. This veteran SD40-2 was built by the Colorado & Southern way back in 1978 and is easily handling its train of empties over the Montana prairies. |
