| Backing Out of the Yard: After the AM eastbound passenger peak period departures have completed, NS H08 backs east out of Hillburn Yard for a run long-hood forward west on the main to Campbell Hall. NS 5615 formerly was SOU 2828 (GP38AC) before being rebuilt to a GP38-2. In December 2020, it was sold to the Middletown & New Jersey Railroad based out of Campbell Hall. NS 5613 (GP38-2) also is an ex-Southern engine: ex-SOU 2827 (GP38AC). While two numbers apart on the NS roster, these engines formerly were consecutively numbered on the Southern Railroad. |
