| Retired in 1951 and donated to the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, SLSF 1522 underwent a 3-year restoration beginning in 1985. In one of its first excursions, the 4-8-2 "Mountain" is on the Wisconsin Central in Schiller Park. Tom Golden photo. |
