Remarks & Notes
The not self propelled steam rotary snow blower Xrot # 100 of the Gotthard Railway (Gotthardbahn) was just pulled out of the shed in Arth Goldau by steamlocomotive Eb 3/5 # 5819 of SBB Historic. So much snow is rather seldom in the swiss "middleland", but of course fits perfectly with this action (as if it had been ordered so!). The "Rotary" with a 2,96 diameter blower wheel was built by Henschel/Cassel in Germany in 1896 for the Gotthard Railway. Till 1981 it served as an "iron reserve" in Erstfeld depot (last use was in 1975). Since 1982 exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport (VHS) in Lucerne, but outsourced to the depot in Arth Goldau since last year. This day, the "Rotary" was transfered to Brugg AG to clarify a possible recommissioning by the association steam group Zürich (Dampfgruppe Zürich).
