Remarks & Notes
Passing farms in Watauga. A westbound Norfolk & Western Train 202, "The Virginia Creeper", passes a dairy farm in Watauga, VA, en route back to her base in Abingdon.

This rather authentic re-creation was staged in 2010, at Pennsylvania's Strasburg Rail Road, right after a snowstorm dumped well over a foot of snow on Lancaster County. Our "Creeper" this day was headed up by the only Norfolk & Western M-Class "Mollie" that's still in operation, that being #475. For this particular event, she was very nicely disguised as her long-lost sister #382, which ran on the Abingdon Branch until 1957. The farm seen here is just east of the Strasburg Yard and our photography group was very kindly hosted by the family that owns this property.
