Before the last hurrah of the Rio Grande tunnel motors on the dirt train out of helper. There was a period of time that a pure set of Rio Grande tunnel motors could be found on the Salt Lake to Denver UPS Z train. Not to long after this the Rio Grande disappeared off the main, and eventually, this train began running on the UP through Wyoming. D&RGW 5345, 5372, 5410 do the honors. Tom Ellis photo.
