Vermont Rail System's "Light The Way" tour commences on December 9, departing Chester Depot, VT for a 30-mile night evening run to Rutland, VT. The inaugural "Light The Way" train only consists of veteran Alco RS-1 405 (non operating for the trips as of this time) and GMRC obs car 1323, both decorated in festive lights. The train is seen at Chester Depot where the moving night tour will officially launch.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
