Remarks & Notes

Moving fast to make up its three hour delay in Clifton Forge, the eastbound Cardinal crosses over the Norfolk & Western Railways former line to Hagerstown. Both lines at one point had been bustling with activity - and it in fact was on this line that O Winston Link had taken many of his famous night shots. However, these are now relegated secondary mainlines.
