At dusk, in the summer before Amtrak, the Santa Fe's Chicago-Los Angeles El Capitan makes its stop at Joliet, IL, behind a cowl trio of an FP45 and two F45s. By this time the all-coach El Capitan ran as a separate train during peak travel periods but was combined with the all-sleeper Super Chief in the off season.
