CSX U30C 7263, still wearing predecessor Seaboard System’s colors, crosses Main Street and passes the old Baltimore & Ohio depot in Fostoria OH. The "U-Boat" was built by General Electric as Louisville & Nashville 1569 in July 1971. When Seaboard System was created when the Family Lines roads (A&WP, CRR, GA, L&N and SCL) merged at the end of 1982, this engine got renumbered SBD 7263. Seaboard System didn’t last long before joining with the railroads of the Chessie System (B&O, C&O and WM) on July 1, 1986, to form CSX Transportation. Thus SBD 7263 became CSXT 7263.
