Remarks & Notes |
For the Colorado Railroad Museum their newest pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is Rio Grande Southern No. 20, which ran for the public for the first time today following a 14-year restoration. The narrow gauge 4-6-0 was built in 1899 by the Schenectady Locomotive Works for the Florence & Cripple Creek Railroad, and was purchased in 1915 by the Rio Grande Southern, which operated it until the 1950's. |
