The Storms of the High Plains
Isolated thunderstorms were marching easterly across the High Plains of eastern Colorado on July 29, 2020. The usual parade of westbound coal buckets march their way along the Brush Subdivision. Here at west Corona near Fort Morgan a significant Summer thunderstorm is punctuated by brief blasts of sunshine illuminating the golden late Summer grasses. Moments after BNSF 6034 passed the sun was again covered, in between a rainbow, however faint the rainbow and not quite full the Corona bridge acted as a stage to play out this act of dramatic storm light. |
