| Re 421 # 394 in the blue publicity paint scheme for a travel time of 3 1/2 hours from 2021, is pulling the Eurocity 196 from Munich to Zürich, between Winterthur and Winterthur Tössmühle. The Re 421 of the SBB took over the train in Lindau/Germany from diesellocomotives 218 of the Deutsche Bahn. From december 2020, the line will be electrified in Germany and tilting trains of the ETR 610/RABe 503 series of the SBB will take over the service between Zürich and Munich and vice versa 6 times daily (every 2 hours). Journey time will be 4 hours then, about 3/4 hours less then today. |
