A view from the mountain to the train station in Brig at night. On the left the tracks for freight trains, behind the siding for passenger trains and the loco shed. In front 4 platforms with 7 platform tracks, on the right of the station buildings (in front a public parking garage and the new administration building of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn) on the station square the tracks of the MGB, with regional train 257 to Zermatt waiting for departure. Over the river Rhone (called Rotten in this german speaking part of the Valais) from above a road bridge, the former railway bridge of the Furka-Oberalp Bahn (unused today, former route through Naters to the Goms valley), a pedestrian bridge and the dual railway bridge to the Lötschberg mountain route. From track 3 the IC 839 to Romanshorn via Visp-Berne-Zürich departed during the exposure of 107 seconds.
