The sun tries in vain to shine through heavy clouds and fog in the Clark Fork valley as an eastbound BNSF coal empty traces the southern shore of the river approaching Trout Creek, Montana, on January 25, 2020. The head end is on a causeway between a small body of water called Frog Pond and the Clark Fork, while the middle part of the train is crossing the river on Bridge 57, on the right side of the scene. The Clark Fork runs wide here and is part of the Noxon Reservoir due to downstream influence of Noxon Rapids Dam.
