An antique on the Great Central Railway.3170 is a 1903 built North Eastern Railway Autocar, withdrawn from main line service in 1931.It then spent the next 70 years as a static holiday home until being purchased for restoration.About the only original part left was the actual bodywork, which has now been fully restored with a new engine. The vehicle proved very popular during its first day in service at the Great Central Railway - mainly because a lot of people had no idea what it was !!
