| The low winter light and snow cover make for a very different picture of the Utah desert. Union Pacific's Local 45, the "Dirt Train", is carrying on a long tradition of this local dating back to Rio Grande days. Seen here crossing Grassy Trail Creek, it is headed for the only customer on this branch; the East Carbon Development's hazardous material disposal facility at East Carbon. This local runs several days a week on no particular schedule. |
