BNSF 6885 leads a 554 axle manifest freight past the Cuivre River bridge re-construction project at Old Monroe, Missouri. This bridge was built around 1930 and has seen better days. The construction project has been going on for more than a year and includes replacement of the bridge piers. You can see the re-bar for one of the new piers suspended from the crane on the right. To me, it is amazing that trains can continue to cross the bridge at track speed during the construction project.
