Pittsburg & Shawmut’s Mahoning yard, located along the Mahoning Creek a few miles geographically east of Reesedale, Pennsylvania, was largely inaccessible. Here a pair of the road’s SW9’s work a loader across the creek from Mahoning at the site of some old coke ovens. Although the entire motive power roster was painted red, white, and blue, only one caboose received the bicentennial scheme.
