| "Stammnetzpendelzug" (commuter push-pull train for the main network) Be 4/4 # 514 with leading cab car ABDt # 1714 is running the S 1 service 1523 from Schiers to Rhäzüns, between Chur and Felsberg. This timeless elegant trains were built in 1971 and were then Switzerland's first series-produced traction units with continuously variable electronic power control (phase-angle control by means of thyristors). In the background is 2265 metre high Montalin mountain above Chur. |
