Remarks & Notes |
ATSF 2395 and mate sit on the side lines at Archer Avenue Yard south of downtown Chicago. The two steam generator equipped Alco RS-1s are no longer needed for passenger terminal switching with the onset of Amtrak 16 months earlier. Built in December 1949, no. 2395 could be found in Chicago switching industries, transfers and passenger cars during its 20 plus years career. |
