| A scene in danger.
While the CSX Geeps leading southbound local D794 certainly have had a long life on the railroad, the part of this scene that is in immediate danger is actually the classic brick platform that lines the rails in downtown Ashland. A new station is being constructed to replace the aging RF&P-era platform. The endeavor will include replacing the aging brick that has served the town, and Amtrak, for decades. |
