| Remarks & Notes |
| Montana Rail Link’s LM (Laurel to Missoula freight) climbs Bozeman Pass east of Muir, Montana. Eight EMD SD45/SD45-2 locomotives racking up an impressive 28,800 horsepower pulls the train. A set of five of the big machines is being used as a point helper on a three-unit set of road power. One-hundred and sixty cylinders roar up the grade toward Bozeman Pass Tunnel on the sunny afternoon of September 23, 2002. |
